Comedy Meets Culture
The tour guide who made museums a comedy stop
LizaBanks Campagna came up through Washington, D.C.’s comedy scene, where she was a regular at clubs like the DC Improv and Hotbed before moving to New York. Today she works rooms across the five boroughs and travels the country for shows.
Her other job is what made her a phenomenon. As a New York City tour guide at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Grand Central Terminal, she runs tours that sell out by treating landmarks like material — the history, the gossip, the architecture and the absurd, delivered with a comic’s timing. That approach has landed her in The Cut and on the Today Show, and built an audience of more than 100,000 across social media.
Her Bend Sessions night brings that same mix of culture and comedy to our 1929 vaudeville house, free and open to everyone, with thanks to sponsor Shooting Star Travels. Registration is requested so we can plan the room.
