Sam Ness, a Wisconsin-born singer-songwriter originally from Sauk City, combines traditional folk and Americana roots with a vibrant alternative‑indie sensibility. Deeply inspired by global travels—from cobblestone streets to urban festivals—his performances shift between spirited, dance‑infused energy and intimate, emotionally resonant moments.
Ness is a multiple-time Wisconsin Area Music Award winner, including Male Vocalist of the Year (2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 & 2024), Acoustic Guitar Player of the Year (2023), and Folk Song of the Year (“She Is Love” in 2022, “Slotty Road” in 2024). He has shared the stage with major acts like America, Styx, Night Ranger, and Chris Barron of Spin Doctors.
On October 16th, 2025, as part of the ORIGINS Concert Series, Sam Ness will bring his solo energy to The Bend Theater for a free show.
