Psycho (1960 – R)
“Psycho” is a 1960 American psychological horror film directed by Alfred Hitchcock and based on Robert Bloch’s novel of the same name. The story revolves around Marion Crane, a secretary who embezzles money from her employer and goes on the run. Seeking refuge from a rainstorm, she checks into the remote Bates Motel, run by the peculiar Norman Bates and his overbearing mother. However, as Marion’s stay at the motel progresses, disturbing secrets and a series of shocking events unravel, leading to a terrifying climax that redefines the horror genre.
