A medley that got out of hand — in the best way
Boy Band Review started life as a side bit. Its founders were playing in a Chicago 90s cover band, and the short boy-band medley tucked into their set kept getting the loudest reaction of the night. Eventually the medley became the whole show, and Chicago’s original boy band tribute was born.
Since then the group has taken that show well past the Midwest, from a Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood to theaters and festivals across the country — and they’ve shared the stage with NSYNC’s own Chris Kirkpatrick for several shows. What sets them apart is that nothing is phoned in: there’s a real band behind the vocalists, the harmonies are stacked the way the records were, and the dance breaks are rehearsed down to the last hip thrust.
On October 3 they bring two full sets of hits from NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block, One Direction, the Jonas Brothers, Boyz II Men and more to The Bend’s 1929 stage. Bring your friends, bring your old concert tee, and plan on singing along.
