The MilBillies:
WAMI nominated as New Artist (2020), The MilBillies are a 5-piece string band. Their vocals and solos resemble bourbon and a bull, delivering raw bluegrass with Americana grit.
Established in late 2018, The MilBillies swiftly introduced their traditional and progressive bluegrass synthesis. They performed at venues and festivals across the upper midwest.
With a focus on melodic lyricism in songwriting, The MilBillies create a wall of sound. Their live performance is unmatched.
Miles Over Mountains:
From McHenry, IL, Miles Over Mountains plays modernized progressive bluegrass. They cover various genres, dynamics, and emotions.
Their live catalogue includes albums like “Five Star Heart Breaker” (2015), “Ballads & Burners” (2017), and “Work Harder Not Smarter” (2020).
Recently, they released “Burn the Ships” (2023) and have been performing, touring, and recording since 2014.
The band features Phil Hoffman (upright bass), Caleb Peters (guitar), Sean Shiel (mandolin), and Pete Smith (banjo).
Their music showcases maturity, passion, and years of collective expertise.
