DESCRIPTION:The Ornaments\nThe Ornaments started in 2005 as a local combo who wanted to play for friends and family the music of the greatest holiday special ever produced – Charles Schultz’s A Charlie Brown Christmas\, with its brilliant soundtrack by Vince Guaraldi. Since then\, their shows have grown into a Nashville holiday tradition\, stirring up the childhood feeling of sitting in front of the television with your loved ones on a cold December night\, watching Snoopy and the gang. Pianist Jen Gunderman\, bassist James Haggerty\, and drummer Martin Lynds play the classic Guaraldi record live from beginning to end and host a rotating cast of guest soloists who may play trombone\, pedal steel\, harmonica\, tin whistle\, electric guitar\, fiddle\, saxophone\, flute\, or even musical saw. Fusing traditional roots with innovative genre-blending elements\, the band has captivated audiences worldwide with their unique musicality and electrifying performances. \nIn 2023\, Chicken Wire Empire reached new heights with a showcase at the prestigious Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival.  It was an honor to perform 4 sets through rain and mud.  This came on the heels of their diverse creative ventures\, including “Verry Garcia\,” a Grateful Dead tribute\, and a distinctive rendition of The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Disarm.” These projects showcased their ability to seamlessly blend genres\, demonstrating a musical depth that resonates with both young and old fans of bluegrass. \nCWE’s sophomore studio endeavor\, “What Moves Mountains\,” received widespread praise upon its release\, and marks the band’s evolution.  This musical journey was artfully captured in the documentary “All It Takes.”  Directed by Ross Monagle\, the film showcased their travels across Wisconsin. \nHundreds of FREE parking spots and great restaurants lining Main Street and surrounding area! He made his first appearance on stage at Sardino’s\, a local nite club in Milwaukee\, Wisconsin. Ever since then\, this native Milwaukeean has been making his mark on the comedy scene throughout the Midwest\, the South\, and the East Coast with his storming style of humor. \nBarnes can be best described as a high-energy comic that will take an audience and keep them laughing as he interprets his experiences of life. Barnes is also the man of many faces; his personality and facial expressions will bring an audience to life. Barnes has worked and laughed with such people as John Mendoza\, JJ Jimmy Walker\, Andrew Dice Clay\, Sinbad\, Bill Cosby\, and many others. It’s no surprise Barnes has become a national headliner\, working in such clubs as Dangerfield’s in New York City; Rascal’s in New Jersey; Zanies in Chicago; Chaplin’s in Detroit; Comedy Cafe in Milwaukee; and many others throughout the country. \nShow begins at 7:30pm.
