Now retired from the DNR\, he lives near the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest\, where he continues to study and photograph the region’s wildlife. His writing has appeared in The Hollywood Reporter\, The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Review of Books\, among other publications. Schwartz is a veteran Milwaukee journalist who\, as a reporter for the Milwaukee Journal in 1991\, broke the story of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and was among the first on the scene. Her reporting earned a Pulitzer Prize nomination\, and she went on to write two books on the case\, most recently Monster: The True Story of the Jeffrey Dahmer Murders. Schwartz later served eight years as communications director for the Milwaukee Police Department and has since become a nationally recognized trainer on strategic communication for law enforcement and public safety professionals. Kluck is a Wisconsin sports historian and frequent contributor to the Society for American Baseball Research. His first book\, Leave While the Party’s Good: The Life and Legacy of Baseball Executive Harry Dalton\, was named a finalist for the 2025 Seymour Medal\, one of the top honors in baseball literature. The book tells the story of Dalton\, architect of the Milwaukee Brewers’ only American League pennant in 1982 and a front-office career that also included stops with the Baltimore Orioles and California Angels.
