SUMMARY:Movie: Independence Day (1996 PG-13)
DESCRIPTION:On July 2nd\, communications systems worldwide are sent into chaos by a strange atmospheric interference. It is soon learned by the military that a number of enormous objects are on a collision course with Earth. At first thought to be meteors\, they are later revealed to be gigantic spacecraft\, piloted by a mysterious alien species. After attempts to communicate with the aliens go nowhere\, David Levinson\, an ex-scientist turned cable technician\, discovers that the aliens are going to attack major points around the globe in less than a day. On July 3rd\, the aliens all but obliterate New York\, Los Angeles and Washington\, as well as Paris\, London\, Houston and Moscow. The survivors set out in convoys towards Area 51\, a strange government testing ground where it is rumored the military has a captured alien spacecraft of their own. The survivors devise a plan to fight back against the enslaving aliens\, and July 4th becomes the day humanity will fight for its freedom. July 4th is their Independence Day…

SUMMARY:Movie: Transformers (2007 PG13)
DESCRIPTION:The planet Cybertron was ravaged by a civil war between two Transformer factions — the Autobots\, led by Optimus Prime\, and the Decepticons\, led by Megatron. Both search for a lost artifact called the AllSpark\, a cube-like object that is the source of all Cybertronian life\, to win the war. The Autobots want to find the AllSpark to rebuild Cybertron and end the war\, while the Decepticons want to use it to conquer the universe. Megatron found the AllSpark on Earth\, but crash-landed in the Arctic Circle and was frozen in the ice. Captain Archibald Witwicky and his crew of explorers stumbled upon Megatron in 1897. Captain Witwicky accidentally activates Megatron’s navigational system\, causing his eyeglasses to be imprinted with the coordinates of the AllSpark’s location. Sector 7\, a secret U.S. government organization\, discovers the AllSpark in the Colorado River and builds the Hoover Dam around it to mask its energy emissions. The still-frozen Megatron is transported into the facility and is reverse engineered to advance human technology. \nIn the present day\, the Decepticons — Blackout\, Scorponok\, Frenzy\, Barricade\, Starscream\, Bonecrusher and Brawl — have landed on Earth and assumed the disguise of Earth vehicles and electronics. Blackout and Scorponok attack the U.S. SOCCENT military base in Qatar and try to hack into the U.S. military network to find the location of Megatron and the AllSpark\, but their mission is thwarted when the base staff severs the network cable connections. While Blackout wrecks the rest of the base\, Captain William Lennox\, Sergeant Robert Epps\, and their small group of survivors with photographic evidence of the robots escape the destruction. They are pursued by Scorponok\, but he is repelled by air strikes. In the process\, Lennox’s team discovers that the only effective weapons against the Transformers’ armor are high-heat sabot rounds. After Blackout’s failure\, Frenzy infiltrates Air Force One to hack into the military network and\, in doing so\, plants a virus. He finds the map imprinted on Archibald’s glasses\, which is owned by his descendant\, Sam Witwicky\, leading him and Barricade to begin tracking Sam’s location in Los Angeles. \nPlease note that all ticket sales are final.

DESCRIPTION:An Electric Avenue show is a high energy space that reminds people of a time when they came home from school\, put a record on\, and listened with open ears and an open heart; conjuring first dates\, first cars\, prom nights\, weekend movies\, and meeting friends at the mall\, while finding a sense of fashion and an identity all their own. At an EA show\, 80’s music is as alive and well today as it has ever been. \nIf authenticity is your thing\, Electric Avenue meticulously and painstakingly recreates every nuance and flavor of your favorite 80’s songs. Delving into their personal stash of vintage synthesizers and rare signal processors\, an Electric Avenue show is a true labor of love. In fact\, Electric Avenue’s sound is so close to that of the original artists that in 2019 Warner Music issued a cease-and-desist for using original artists recordings on their social channels. After hearing the complete live recording of Electric Avenue’s performance\, Warner Music issued an apology to the band. \nElectric Avenue has sailed the high seas with the The Walking Dead Cast\, Kid Rock\, The Impractical Jokers\, Joey Fatone\, and Pitbull. In 2019\, EA was hand-picked and flown to Asbury Park\, NJ to provide the soundtrack for the red carpet launch of the Bruce Springsteen\, Gurinder Chadha (Bend it Like Beckham)\, New Line Entertainment 80’s-centric film\, Blinded By The Light. DESCRIPTION:In 1985\, teenager Marty McFly lives in Hill Valley\, California\, with his depressed alcoholic mother\, Lorraine; his older siblings\, who are professional and social failures; and his meek father\, George\, who is bullied by his supervisor\, Biff Tannen. After Marty’s band fails a music audition\, he confides in his girlfriend\, Jennifer Parker\, that he fears becoming like his parents despite his ambitions. \nThat night\, Marty meets his eccentric scientist friend\, Emmett “Doc” Brown\, in the Twin Pines mall parking lot. Doc unveils a time machine built from a modified DeLorean\, powered by plutonium he swindled from Libyan terrorists. After Doc inputs a destination time of November 5\, 1955 (the day he conceived his time travel invention)\, the terrorists arrive unexpectedly and gun him down. SUMMARY:Dustbowl Revival
DESCRIPTION:Dustbowl Revival is a testament to building a fanbase and their own sound the old-fashioned way\, with hard work and deeply moving songs that stick to your bones when you leave the concert. There’s a reason they continue to get written up in Rolling Stone and Billboard and get played on AAA radio 16 years after they set sail. \nAfter releasing seven acclaimed albums starting in 2008\, including their beloved live record With A Lampshade On (2015) recorded mostly at their LA homebase the famed Troubadour\, and their charting self-titled record (2017) produced by Grammy-winner Ted Hutt (Flogging Molly\, Old Crow Medicine Show)\, perhaps their magnum opus is 2020’s deeply personal Is It You\, Is It Me – produced by Sam Kassirer (Lake Street Dive\, Josh Ritter). It showcases their penchant for orchestral brass and intricate string work with politically-charged story-songs that unfold like mini-movies. It’s not surprising that Z. Lupetin was an award-winning playwright and moved to LA from Chicago to be a screenwriter before music took the reins. “Get Rid Of You”\, an ode to the courageous kids in Parkland\, FL who stood up to demand common-sense control laws be passed is a heart-wrenching staple of each show and “Get Right” – a new stomp blues that will be a part of their upcoming 2025 record\, confronts the vigilante justice that exists throughout our country head on. Their newest single “The Truth” dares to take on the overturning of Roe V. Wade by the Supreme Court. \n“Maybe we don’t know where this journey will take us or how long it will last\,” acknowledges Lupetin\, “That’s my take on the importance of what we try to do. Music elevates us\, lifts us up\, makes us change our minds\, takes us out of our comfort zones. DESCRIPTION:Roads? Where we’re going\, we don’t need…. roads… \nOn October 26\, 1985\, Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown arrives unexpectedly in the DeLorean time machine. He persuades Marty McFly and his girlfriend\, Jennifer Parker\, to travel to the future with him and help their future children\, with Biff Tannen witnessing their departure. Once they arrive in 2015\, Doc incapacitates Jennifer\, leaving her asleep in an alley to avoid letting her learn about her own future. Doc explains that their son Marty Jr. will be arrested for participating in a robbery with Biff’s grandson Griff\, leading to a chain of events that destroys the McFly family. \nDoc instructs Marty to switch places with the identical Marty Jr. and refuse Griff’s offer\, but Griff goads Marty into a fight by calling him “chicken”\, and a hoverboard chase ensues. Griff and his gang are arrested\, saving Marty’s future children. Before rejoining Doc\, Marty purchases an almanac containing the results of major sporting events from 1950 to 2000. Doc discovers it and warns Marty about profiting from time travel. Before Doc can adequately dispose of it\, they are interrupted by the police\, who have found Jennifer incapacitated and are taking her to her 2015 home. They pursue\, as does an elderly Biff\, who has overheard their conversation and retrieved the discarded almanac.

SUMMARY:Back to the Future III (1990 PG)
DESCRIPTION:In November 1955\, moments after witnessing Emmett “Doc” Brown disappear in his DeLorean\, Marty McFly learns that Doc was sent 70 years in the past to 1885. Using information from Doc’s 1885 letter\, Marty and the 1955 Doc find and repair the DeLorean so Marty can return to 1985. However\, after finding it\, Marty comes across a tombstone with Doc’s name\, with the inscription stating that Doc was shot by Biff Tannen’s great-grandfather\, Buford “Mad Dog” Tannen\, six days after writing the letter. \nDespite the letter’s warning\, Marty travels back to September 2\, 1885\, to save Doc\, arriving in the middle of a cavalry pursuit of Native Americans\, but the car’s fuel line is damaged in the process. Chased by a bear\, he is knocked out and found by his Irish-born great-great-grandparents Seamus and Maggie McFly\, who allow him to stay for the night. The next morning\, under the alias Clint Eastwood\, Marty arrives in a newly founded Hill Valley but runs afoul of Buford and his gang. Buford tries hanging Marty but fails when Doc rescues him. Doc agrees to leave 1885 after learning his fate\, but without gasoline\, the DeLorean cannot reach its required 88 miles per hour (142 kilometers per hour). He thus proposes using a steam locomotive to push the DeLorean to that speed. \nPlease note all ticket sales are final.
