SUMMARY:Yesterday and Today: An Interactive Beatles Experience
DESCRIPTION:Yesterday and Today: An Interactive Beatles Experience\nEvent Sponsor provided by : Joel & Christina Ongert & Koehn & Koehn Jewelers \nYesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience is the nation’s most innovative and unique show utilizing the works of the Beatles. This amazing band\, anchored by brothers Billy\, Matthew and Ryan McGuigan perform as themselves and leave the song choices completely in the hands of the audience. This is done through request cards that audience members fill out prior to the show. On those cards\, the audience member only needs to fill out three things: their name\, their favorite Beatles song and the reason why they chose that song. The cards are collected and two minutes before the show begins\, a set list is created based upon the songs chosen by that particular audience. As an added treat\, the reasons that the audience members chose those songs make up the narrative of the evening. Every show is different\, every show is interactive\, and every show proves that The Beatles music truly is the soundtrack to our lives. \nTHE MCGUIGAN BROTHERS TRIBUTE TO THEIR DAD  \nStars of Yesterday and Today\, Billy and Matthew McGuigan\, originally from Largo\, FL\, were just 21 and 15 years old in 1996 when their father\, William McGuigan\, passed away\, after a difficult\, but courageous battles with Leukemia. \nNow\, almost fifteen years after the passing of their father\, Billy and Matthew\, have united their musical talents\, charms and passion for performing to create the ultimate living tribute to the greatest man they’ve ever known. They now tour the country with the show\, “Yesterday & Today”\, which is a unique audience interactive concert experience\, born out of the idea that everyone\, like themselves\, has a story or particular memory attached to the legendary music of The Beatles. \nWhat the McGuigan boys have overwhelmingly found\, since debuting the show in 2007\, is that not only do people have a story to tell\, but they are absolutely ready and willing to tell that story when being able to tie it to their favorite Beatles song. On some level\, it goes beyond sheer entertainment\, and perhaps becomes a hint of music therapy. \nEvery night the songs change\, the faces change and the stories change. But one element always remains the same between the McGuigans and their fans. A mutual respect for why they are there. Whether it’s for the sheer love of the music\, or to have a personal connection with it\, either way\, the McGuigan boys get to do what they love most – honoring the memory of their greatest hero\, and the priceless gift he gave them so many years ago. \nDoors open at 6:30 PM to give you time to find your seats\, visit our historic lobby\, concession stand and fully stocked bar! \nShow begins at approximately 7:30 PM

SUMMARY:Chicago Farmer & The Fieldnotes w/ special guest Mike Mangione
DESCRIPTION:Chicago Farmer & The Fieldnotes return to The Bend Theater\,\naccompanied by Mike Mangione as their special guest opening act\nSponsored by Horicon Bank\n  \nChicago Farmer & The Fieldnotes \nThe son of a small town farming community\, Cody Diekhoff logged plenty of highway and stage time under the name Chicago Farmer. Profoundly inspired by fellow midwesterner John Prine\, he’s a working-class folk musician to his core. \n“I love the energy\, music\, and creativity of Chicago\, but at the same time\, the roots and hard work of my small town” \nFrom punk rock to Hank Williams\, Diekhoff’s musical journey shaped his identity as Chicago Farmer. \nMike Mangione \nA lot has changed since Americana\, acoustic folk artist Mike Mangione left his hometown of Chicago for L.A in pursuit of a music career. Subtlety\, silence\, and patience combined with maturation and time has given birth to a woven lush complexity. \n“Songs utilize a broader palette through the power of imagery\, poetry and mystery to create a complete picture that is accessible to each individual”\, Mike Mangione argues. \nDoors open at 6:30 PM to give you time to find your seats\, visit our historic lobby\, concession stand and fully stocked bar! Show begins at approximately 7:30 PM

SUMMARY:Guitars 4 Vets Benefit featuring Chris Kroeze
DESCRIPTION:Join us at The Bend Theater this Veterans Day weekend as we team up with Guitars 4 Vets to raise awareness of the healing power of music. Experience the electrifying energy of Chris Kroeze with his soulful country-rock tunes.\nIn partnership with West Bend Mutual Insurance. \n  \nWHY?  \n800\,000 U.S. VETERANS STRUGGLE WITH PHYSICAL INJURIES\, PTSD\, AND OTHER EMOTIONAL DISTRESS. WE BELIEVE GUITARS CAN HELP THE HEALING PROCESS. \nMusic helps decrease anxiety\, increase self-esteem\, and reduce episodes of panic attacks\, nightmares\, and flashbacks. A research study of Guitars 4 Vets students showed a 21% improvement in PTSD symptoms. The study attributed learning and playing guitar as the primary catalysts for these improvements—and we want to ensure as many vets as possible have that opportunity. \nHOW? \nJoin us for a night of music\, guitars\, pass the hat fundraising\, and some of the finest folks you will ever meet. The Bend Theater sets a perfect background for a world-class music event while Guitars 4 Vets supplies the noble mission of supporting our veterans that have returned home. \nWe need you to bring your guitars to donate\, your friends\, and some dollars to support our veterans. \nFeatured Musical guests include Chris Kroeze \nChris Kroeze:  \nRunner Up on NBC’s THE VOICE / TOP 5 Country Song “Human” (iTunes TOP 100) / Featured in USA Today / Featured in Rolling Stone / #1 ROCK Song (iTunes) \nGrowing up\, there was a guitar in the corner of the family basement that no one was supposed to touch. When no one was looking\, a young Chris Kroeze (pronounced Cruise-E) would sneak down and find it. On his 6th birthday\, Chris got a guitar of his own and hasn’t put it down since. \nSitting around the campfire on warm summer nights as a child\, Chris fell in love with the guitar. His dad would put small stickers on the strings to show him how to play and he listened and learned under the stars in Northwest Wisconsin. Before long\, the instrument became the most important thing in his life. \nThe pull of small town life and the passion for music never left as Kroeze turned into one of the top country musicians in the Midwest. The power of small town community showed as family and friends in Barron helped him get started on his journey to Nashville in 2014\, holding a fundraiser that would lead to him recording his first single “Four Letter Words\,” which received strong radio play and kick started his career. \nIn 2015\, he began a busy stretch of playing over 175 shows a year\, and creating a large and loyal fan following. That popularity soared in 2018\, when he appeared on NBC’s hit TV show “The Voice\,” making it all the way to the finals in a runner-up finish. In the finale\, Kroeze sang the original song “Human\,” which was TOP 10 on the Billboard HOT 100 and TOP 5 on the iTunes TOP 100. His vocal and guitar skills\, combined with a small-town charm\, led to Kroeze to become the most streamed artist in the show’s history. \nKroeze has developed a large military fan base as well\, in 2020 making his 10th overseas tour\, and he is a recipient of the Red Cross Community Hero Award. \nA small town boy who loves the outdoors through and through\, Kroeze still lives in Barron\, Wisconsin with his wife and can’t imagine raising his two children anywhere else. \nDoors open at 6:30 PM to give you time to find your seats\, visit our historic lobby\, concession stand and fully stocked bar! Show begins at approximately 7:30 PM

SUMMARY:Sam Llanas and Friends + special guest opener Zach Pietrini
DESCRIPTION:Sam Llanas & Friends with drummer Guy Hoffmann and bass player Bob Griffin with special guest opener Zach Pietrini\nJoin us for an unforgettable musical journey at The Bend Theater as Sam Llanas reunites with Guy Hoffmann and bass player Bob Griffin\, delivering a night of legendary hits and soulful harmonies. The experience begins with special guest opening act Zach Pietrini\, setting the stage for a captivating evening of classic and contemporary sounds that will resonate long after the final note. \nSam Llanas & Friends: \nSam Llanas is an iconic American singer\, acoustic guitarist\, and songwriter. Best known for his unique and distinctively soulful voice\, Llanas burst onto the national music scene in 1986. \nAfter 25 years of a storied career with his band\, including being a part of U2’s celebrated Joshua Tree tour\, singing on Robbie Robertson’s “Somewhere Down the Crazy River\,” being voted best new band by the readers of Rolling Stone Magazine\, and sharing the stage with such luminaries as David Bowie\, Paul Simon\, Bob Dylan\, and Tom Petty it was time for a change. \nAfter leaving in 2011\, Llanas released 4 A.M.\, a stripped down\, quietly introspective offering that reflected the mood of the title. Once again critics were taken with the haunting quality of his singing and his ability to construct concise songs with lovely melodies that manage to say a lot with a few simple basic chords and a minimum of straightforward words. \nIn 2014 came The Whole Night Thru\, the third installment (he released his first solo album\, A Good Day to Die in ‘97) of what Llanas calls his night music. While retaining a mostly darker tone\, “TWNT” also contained elements of his former bands most loved songs (it was Llanas after all who wrote his former bands biggest hit “Closer To Free”). \nZach Pietrini: \nZach Pietrini’s Midwestern\, indie americana songwriting aesthetic is the sonic embodiment of a well-worn denim jacket. At the forefront of the Americana resurgence\, Pietrini—lead vocalist and guitarist for his namesake band—takes an everyman’s approach to the genre with a knack for honest storytelling and a wistfulness that comes across in both the music and lyrics. The band takes its cues from Tom Petty\, Bruce Springsteen\, and David Ramirez\, reinterpreting and rejuvenating American roots styles through a contemporary lens. Pietrini’s songs “situate him at the confluence of all that an urban Millennial audience finds relatable” (Milwaukee Magazine)\, performing old-soul themes of ennui\, regret\, disappointment\, and nostalgia with a modern twist. \nDoors open at 6:30 PM to give you time to find your seats\, visit our historic lobby\, concession stand and fully stocked bar! Show begins at approximately 7:30 PM.
