SUMMARY:Stand Up Comedy: Ian Bagg
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT IAN BAGG \nIan Bagg started his comedy career in his native country Canada. He proceeded to do all the show business things that every successful Canadian entertainer does. He went to a “Hockey Night in Canada” game on a Saturday night performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival kissed a fish in New Foundland and a Comedy Now special on CTV. So what does a Canadian do when he has done it all? He boards a train to New York City lives in a youth hostel and ends up on Late Night with Conan O’Brien\, The Late Late show with Craig Ferguson\, and Tonight Show with Jay Leno. It is not always fun and games. He was forced to do Make Me Laugh\, Showcase Comics with Louie Anderson\, Fridays on NBC\, and the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. Life has been amazing for Bagg being on such diverse platforms as History Channel\, Food Network\, Biography Channel and being the first ever Canadian to meet three US presidents– Ronald Reagan Jimmy Carter and George Bush… although only one was in the White House at the time while he met one on a plane and the other at a hockey practice. \nIan went to school to be an explosives engineer but a lucky chance at an open mic made him the volatile one. He may be in your area sooner than you think because this man-child does over 100\,000 air miles a year…or you could listen to his radio/podcast show on XM Radio channel 160 or The Toadhopnetwork (The Ian Bagg Show.) DESCRIPTION:Since its beginnings in the late 1990s\, the Hot Club of Cowtown’s star has continued to rise as its reputation for jaw-dropping virtuosity and unforgettable live shows has become the band’s global brand. Lauded for its “down-home melodies and exuberant improvisation” (The Times\, London)\, the Hot Club has always woven a combination of seemingly disparate styles together to its own magical effect\, setting up camp “at that crossroads where country meets jazz and chases the blues away” (The Independent)\, remaining “conscious always that above all else\, the music is for dancing and an old-fashioned good time” (New York Times). The band’s musical alchemy has been described as “another breathless journey in the Texas tardis” (The Times\, London)\, while American Songwriter observed that “the excellent three players of this band could be doing anything but have chosen to honor the greats of jazz and swing with their sound.” The Belfast Telegraph calls the Hot Club of Cowtown “a pretty much perfect country trio at the very top of their game\,” and the New York Times\, in a live review the trio as armed with “an arsenal full of technique and joy.” \nThe Hot Club of Cowtown has toured extensively worldwide for over twenty years\, both on its own and with with artists including Bob Dylan\, Willie Nelson\, Gatemouth Brown\, the Avett Brothers\, Dan Hicks\, Bryan Ferry\, Roxy Music\, the Squirrell Nut Zippers\, the Mavericks\, the Dustbowl Revival\, and others.  Festivals/career highlights include the Women in Jazz series (part of Jazz at Lincoln Center)\, the Cambridge Folk Festival (UK)\, the Glastonbury Festival (UK)\, the Fuji Rock Festival (Japan)\, Byron Bay Blues & Roots Festival (AU)\, the National Folk Festival (US and AU)\, the Stagecoach Festival\, the Winnipeg Folk Festival (CA)\, Waiting for Waits Festival (SP)\, the grand opening of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville\, Tennessee\, The Barns at Wolf Trap\, the Rochester Jazz Festival\, the Strawberry Festival\, the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival\, traveling as US State Department Musical Ambassadors to Azerbaijan\, Armenia\, Algeria\, the Republic of Georgia\, and the Sultanate of Oman\, and being inducted into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame.

DESCRIPTION:Larry McCray quickly ascended the hierarchy of the blues and roots world\, not just as a guitarist who could slay but also as an impassioned singer who could knock out audiences with his soulful\, barrel-chested vocals.\n\nOver the past three decades of nonstop touring and recording\, Larry has played and shared the stage with such blues and rock greats as BB King\, Buddy Guy\, Albert King\, John Mayall\, Johnny Winter\, Albert Collins\, Robert Cray\, Keb Mo\, Jonny Lang\, Joe Walsh\, Levon Helm\, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Joe Bonamassa. No stranger to the deep and endless world of the jam band universe either\, Larry is beloved by and has performed with many of the greats in that world\, including The Allman Brothers Band\, Gov’t Mule\, Phil Lesh\, Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes\, and countless others.\n\nNow\, with the release of his new album Blues Without You (March 25\, 2022)\, Larry McCray is poised to re-emerge as one our great American roots and blues performers. The new album is a masterful\, genre busting 12-track release that touches on country\, jazz\, gospel…and of course the blues. Recorded on famed guitarist Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive label with producer Josh Smith\, the breadth of McCray’s songwriting talents are on full display\, found on tracks such as the classic blues shuffle Arkansas\, the retro soul of Breaking News and the poignant ballad Down To The Bottom (featuring Warren Haynes).

DESCRIPTION:The Extra Crispy Brass Band (or EC Brass Band or ECBB) plays New Orleans-style brass band music inspired by the great contemporary bands such as the Dirty Dozen\, Hot Eight\, Rebirth\, and New Birth Brass Bands as well as traditional outfits such as the Olympia and Mahogany Brass Bands. The EC Brass Band’s repertoire includes pieces from the turn of last century (1900!)\, traditionals by Louis Armstrong and Sidney Bechet\, modern funk tunes\, and originals.
