DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, tonight’s Sun Silo show has been cancelled. We will do our best to bring them back for a future show\, and will keep you posted when that happens! \n—————————————————————————————————— \nSun Silo is a four piece art rock group based in Kenosha Wisconsin. Combining elements of psychedelic rock\, jazz\, and dream pop\, the group maintains to write and release music with an explorative spirit and lighthearted creativity. \nFormed in March of 2018\, the group has recorded and released one single entitled “Easy Now” \, a three track EP entitled “Three By Four”\, and a two track single entitled “Oddly Even”. The band takes a hands on approach to every aspect of their output. From writing\, recording\, mixing\, mastering\, visual artwork\, and design\, the group produces and arranges all of their own work. \n“The visual elements that go hand in hand with releasing music are important to us. We do take it seriously but at the same time we have a very relaxed approach to how we produce our artwork. I think this allows us to stay productive and healthy.” AWJ \nSun Silo continues to write original music\, perform\, and record. With a full length’s-worth of material already written\, they intend to begin recording\, releasing\, and touring this material. The Unrulies are a motley crew of experienced musicians that assembled in early 2022 as the backing band for Jesús Villa. \nJesús Villa is a Milwaukee-based singer-songwriter whose songs speak to your heart before getting stuck in your head. He has performed regularly around southeastern Wisconsin for over ten years\, and his songs have been featured on local independent radio. \nThe concert starts about 9 p.m. Doors open at least one hour prior. DESCRIPTION:WHY?  \n800\,000 U.S. VETERANS STRUGGLE WITH PHYSICAL INJURIES\, PTSD\, AND OTHER EMOTIONAL DISTRESS. WE BELIEVE GUITARS CAN HELP THE HEALING PROCESS. \nMusic helps decrease anxiety\, increase self-esteem\, and reduce episodes of panic attacks\, nightmares\, and flashbacks. A research study of Guitars 4 Vets students showed a 21% improvement in PTSD symptoms and a 27% decrease in related depression symptoms. The study attributed learning and playing guitar as the primary catalysts for these improvements—and we want to ensure as many vets as possible have that opportunity. \nMore simply\, playing the guitar can help veterans safely connect with their surroundings and other people. \n \nHOW? \nJoin us for a night of music\, guitars\, pass the hat fundraising\, and some of the finest folks you will ever meet. DESCRIPTION:Two married comedians host their own live spin-off version of The Newlywed Game\, where 3 couples compete to show who knows each other best.  \n\nRachel Mac and Devin Blake\, two married comedians living in Jackson\, will open the night with a joint stand-up set discussing their marriage and parenting. \nThen\, one at a time\, they will bring the 3 competing couples onstage for a brief interview. Once the couples have been introduced\, the competition begins! Each person in each couple will have already answered questions about their spouse\, and Rachel and Devin will go over these questions\, one by one. For example\, they will start by bringing out one of the wives and go over her answer to a question like “Who is your celebrity crush?” The wife will give her answer\, THEN her husband will come out and guess her answer. If the answers match\, that couple gets a point. After a number of these questions\, Rachel and Devin will take a break to talk to the audience and ask them which couple they think is going to win and why. Then they will return for the second round of the game\, where we’ll hear answers from the men and then ask their wives to guess. The winning couple will be able to tell their great-grandchildren that they were the best couple in all of Washington County! \nRachel Mac is a writer and comedian who has appeared on Comedy Central’s Lights Out With David Spade and who has written for SyFy’s The Movie Show. After growing up in Wisconsin\, she spent almost a decade in Los Angeles\, where her comedy career began. \nDevin Blake is a standup comedian who also contributes to The Onion and New York Magazine. He is a recent transplant to Wisconsin and is really enjoying the area and getting used to all the roundabouts.\nThis show is designated for 18+.

Presented with support from the HomeTown Foundation and the Regner Rocks summer concert series\, we are excited to showcase Genevieve Heyward and her indie pop/folk sounds! \nSince she can remember\, Wisconsin based singer-songwriter Genevieve Heyward has grown up with music in her life. Adept at both guitar and piano\, she writes her songs based on raw emotion and relatable experiences that cuts through with melody and sultry tone. Straight out of high school\, she dove headfirst into music: touring nationally and internationally\, either by herself\, with her band\, or with other well renowned artists. She has released numerous records throughout her career and doesn’t plan on stopping. Her music has hints of indie folk\, bedroom pop and indie piano pop\, all tied in with her own spin and topped off with a unique and rich voice. Her songs and performing style incorporate humor and connection\, making the audience feel heard and immersed. \nAfter releasing her first album before graduating high school\, “It’s Not Like Anyone’s Listening”\, she went on to tour through the United States by herself or with other artists. She then released her second Ep\, “The River” in 2019 at Painted Recordings. The Ep’s title track “The River” was co-written by Pat MacDonald\, whose songwriting credits include collaborations with Cher\, Keith Urban\, Imogen Heap\, Stewart Copeland of The Police and Peter Frampton.  While recording and writing\, she toured across the United States in Tennessee\, California\, Texas\, Vermont\, and eventually headed overseas where she did her first headlining European tour through Norway accompanied by a band. After returning she released her latest album\, “The Norway EP”\, which she had the opportunity to record in Scandinavia. DESCRIPTION:The Bend is thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented Michael Palascak for TWO NIGHTS of stand up comedy! \nMichael Palascak is a comedian who grew up in Wabash\, Indiana\, began his career in Chicago and now resides in LA. He performed on both The Late Late Show with James Corden and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the same year. He has over 1 million views on YouTube. In addition\, his resume includes A Little Late with Lilly Singh\, Letterman\, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno\, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson\, Conan\, has a Comedy Central Half Hour special\, and was a Top 5 Finalist on Last Comic Standing where one judge claimed\, “My first impression of Michael was a great likability. This is a guy that could star in a sitcom.” \nMichael’s likability allows him to relate to his audiences in a real way which sets up the huge laughs he gets from his sharp\, personal material.  Consistently writing and performing\, Michael recently released both a new album— The Internet Live through 800 Pound Gorilla and a new stand-up special on the Dry Bar app— 1984.  Available for free streaming. \n​Drew Hunt of The Chicago Reader wrote about Michael\, “In a lot of ways\, he represents the ideal antidote to the sort of unbridled cynicism that pervades much of contemporary stand-up.”  Michael’s optimism continues in the new National Lampoon series — The Bright Side  where he takes a positive stance on a negative topic streaming on YouTube.
