The basic grand piano at center stage reaches back to a simpler time in music and where the pin drop acoustics at The Bend will be on full display. \nTim Schmidt for the 2nd year in a row will grace The Bend Theater’s historic stage. Tim’s community and professional success leave us little room to introduce him. Known across the country for his entrepreneurial skills and gracious humble community building efforts\, he will bring his authentic soulful guitar/vocal presentations for all of us to enjoy. \nDave Burkart comes from music\, born with a guitar and a microphone waiting for him. Dave will bring his Minneapolis acoustic rock\, some holiday classics\, and a show that is real\, connected\, and nothing short of a must see. We last saw Dave at The Bend supporting Kat Perkins. We can’t wait for him to be back on our stage to sing classic covers\, holiday gems\, and some original surprises for us all! \nThere’s even more in store for the evening with special guest\, wine pulls\, and holiday decor you won’t want to miss! \nScott\, our creative beverage director\, will put his holiday-themed mixology skills to the test! He will also have a not-to-miss wine pull – stocked with anything from Boones Farm to Caymus! \nSpecial musical guests may be in the holiday spirit and join our Hometown Christmas! DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Date Night Game Night series at The Bend Theater!!\nRachel Mac and Devin Blake\, two married comedians living in Jackson\, WI.\, will open the evening with a joint stand-up set discussing their marriage and parenting. Then it’s time to introduce the Date Night Game Night couples! Rachel and Devin will bring 4 competing couples onstage for a brief interview. Once the couples have been introduced\, the competition begins! \nEach couple will answer questions about their spouse while their other half is off stage (out of hearing range). Rachel and Devin will go over each question\, one by one. They will start by bringing out each wife and go over their answers to a question like “Who is your celebrity crush?” Each wife will give their answer. Then their husbands return to the stage and guess what their wife’s answer was. If their answers match their spouses\, that couple gets a point. After a series of these questions\, Rachel and Devin will take a break to talk to the audience and ask them which couple they think is going to win and why. Then the couples will return for the second round of the game. The roles will be reversed. The winning couple will not only receive a fabulous prize\, but will also have bragging rights for years to come! \nRachel Mac is a writer and comedian who has appeared on Comedy Central’s Lights Out With David Spade and who has written for SyFy’s The Movie Show. After growing up in Wisconsin\, she spent almost a decade in Los Angeles\, where her comedy career began. \nDevin Blake is a standup comedian who also contributes to The Onion and New York Magazine. DESCRIPTION:Chicken Wire Empire returns to The Bend Theater\nBorn from the Wisconsin jamband scene\, Chicken Wire Empire began as a traditional bluegrass band. The band honed its traditional sound in 2014 with their debut album Chicken Wire Empire. With half of the group rooted in bluegrass\, and the other half steeped in jamband music\, a change occurred when CWE performed an Old & In The Way tribute show. A new sound was found in Milwaukee\, and Chicken Wire Empire joined the roster of high energy jamgrass happening across the nation.  This journey from traditional to progressive was documented by director Ross Monagle in the film ”All It Takes\,” premiering in 2016 at the Oriental Theatre in Milwaukee. Recorded and mixed by sound engineer Sam Donoghue\, the film follows the band around Wisconsin and includes performances in Milwaukee’s historic Riverside Theatre.  In 2018\, the band returned to the studio\, recording their sophomore album “What Moves Mountains” at Axis Recording Studios with engineer Vinny Millevolte and the mastering talents of Justin Perkins. With support from their family and friends\, What Moves Mountains was released January 1st of 2019. \nIn 2020\, as live shows were drying up\, the band turned to live-streaming\, and were featured showcase artists in virtual renditions of the IBMA and Folk Alliance International conferences. The band used their time to arrange and record an album with Minnesota songsmith Chris Castino (The Big Wu) at NeonBrown with Ryan Young (Trampled by Turtles) engineering. The album features guests Peter Rowan\, Sam Bush\, Jerry Douglas\, Andy Hall\, Tim O’Brien\, and Nick Forester. Entitled “Fresh Pickles\,” it was released in February 2022. \nChicken Wire Empire has been blessed to share the stage with renowned musicians Yonder Mountain String Band\, 30db\, The Big Wu\, Peter Rowan\, The Travelin’ McCourys\, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades\, and more.  With love from their local scene\, friends\, and families\, Chicken Wire Empire looks to the future\, with a goal to strengthen Wisconsin’s bluegrass scene\, and further the appreciation of acoustic music. \nDoors open at 6:30 PM to give you time to find your seats\, visit our historic lobby\, concession stand and fully stocked bar! \nShow begins at approximately 7:30 PM

Members Betsy Ade (lead vocals\, guitar)\, Joe Adamek (guitars)\, Cameron Fair (cello\, keyboards)\, John Kulas (bass guitar)\, Scott Fox (percussion) and Miss B Haven (vocals\, piano\, keyboards)\, have released 5 CD’s. This includes a full-length album\, several EPs\, and an exciting range of fun and influential videos. \nAde’s rich lyrical gifts are essential and her vocal delivery is simply unmatched in contemporary pop/rock music. In addition to Ade’s talents\, the band members have an amazing mix of musical knowledge and education that provides a unique sound that is reminiscent of familiar music from the ’90s while being expressively groundbreaking and melodically rich.
