They later learned the calls were coming from a crazed serial killer\, in a white faced mask and a large black robe\, looking for revenge. His phone calls usually consist of many questions\, the main one being: What’s your favorite scary movie? Along with much scary movie trivia\, ending with bloody pieces of innocent lives scattered around the small town of Woodsboro. \nDoors open at 6:30 PM to give you time to pick your seats\, visit our historic lobby\, concession stand and fully stocked bar! \nShow begins at approximately 7:00 PM

This time\, she’s collaborating with internationally known musical friends Katie Toupin & Eva Mikhailovna (from Eva & The Vagabond Tales) to help West Bend kick off the holiday season. \nThis week will surely be filled with laughs\, music\, and the highest quality entertainment you could ask for! Washington County welcomes her back with open arms. The Bend has waited all year for this\, so join us in celebrating all the great things West Bend has to offer. This is an experience that only The Bend Theater could provide! \n  \nErica Rhodes \nAt the age of ten\, Erica Rhodes started her entertainment career by voicing the conscience of legendary humorist and writer Garrison Keillor on NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion and has worked on that show ever since.  She has performed on stage with Meryl Streep for PBS’ A Prairie Home Companion Celebrates the 4th of July special and co-starred with Martin Sheen when the famous radio show played L.A.’s Greek Theatre and Hollywood Bowl shows. \n  \nErica starred in the cult horror film Plague Town and recently wrapped a supporting role in Play Nice\, directed by Rodman Flender and starring Mary Lynn Rajskub.  She also starred in Big Sky\, an indie road trip movie that followed a young couple’s journey from L.A. to Montana.   Erica co-created and starred in the award-winning web series Apt. 45\, but is probably best known for the character of Sandy in Iron Sink Media’s web series Upstairs Girls and her own hit spin-off Sandy’s Channel. \n  \nErica is also a fast-rising standup comic with appearances on Comedy Central’s @ Midnight\, AXS’ Live at Gotham\, and the syndicated Comics Unleashed.  In 2015\, she performed standup at San Francisco Sketchfest\, the Moontower Comedy Festival (Austin\, TX)\, the Blue Whale Comedy Festival (Tulsa\, OK)\, and the Boston Comedy Festival. \n  \nKatie Toupin  \nKatie has found a home in her role as a solo artist after leaving the critically acclaimed alt-country band\, Houndmouth in 2016. Toupin had enormous success with Houndmouth after releasing their sophomore album\, “Little Neon Limelight.” The single\, “Sedona\,” reached #1 on Billboard’s Triple A Chart. Toupin made multiple appearances on David Letterman and Conan\, as well as toured internationally during her time with the band. \n  \nToupin has since released a live EP\, “Moroccan Ballroom\,” a self-produced album “Magnetic Moves\, and her newest creation\, a mini-album\, “Little Heart\,” releases July 9th\, 2021. The songs combine Eastern European folk\, vintage pop\, and ragtime into a musical melting pot\, creating an alluring sound that “transcends time and continents.” Building its sound from the foundations of old time music and melancholy storytelling\, it bends the laws of traditional songwriting to become a sound all its own. The group has toured across the Pacific Northwest\, sharing the stage with M. Ward\, Erica Rhodes\, Pompeya\, as well as other notable acts. Mikhailovna has worked with Brooklyn based producer Charles Newman on her 2019 full length album\, Uncharted Ocean (released on Mother West label). \n  \nThe group’s music has been featured in NPR Variety shows and commercials around the world. Recently their song\, “Rose Colored Dreams” was featured in the title credits for comedian Erica Rhodes’ comedy special “La Vie En Rhodes\,” filmed at the Rose Bowl. Mikhailovna is currently working on her third full-length album\, to be released in 2023. DESCRIPTION:Garrison Keillor Tonight is an evening of stand-up\, storytelling\, audience song\, and poetry. One man\, one microphone. There are sung sonnets\, limericks and musical jokes\, and the thread that runs through it is the beauty of growing old. Despite the inconvenience\, old age brings the contentment of LESS IS MORE. Your mistakes and big ambitions are behind you\, nothing left to prove\, and small things give you great pleasure because that’s what’s left. (“I was unhappy in college because it was a requirement for an intellectual\, but then I went into show business and discovered that people won’t pay to be made unhappy\, their kids will do it for free.”) \n  \nThere is the News from Lake Wobegon\, a town booming with new entrepreneurs\, makers of artisanal firewood and gourmet meatloaf\, breeders of composting worms\, and dogs trained to do childcare. But some things endure\, such as the formation of the Living Flag on Main Street\, citizens in tight formation wearing red\, white or blue caps\, and Mr. Keillor among them\, standing close to old neighbors\, Myrtle Krebsbach (“Truckstop”) and Julie Christensen (“Bruno\, The Fishing Dog”) and Clint Bunsen. And an a cappella sing-along with the audience singing from memory an odd medley of patriotic songs\, pop standards\, hymns\, and ending with the national anthem.

The Boys broke new ground throughout the country including Colorado\, California\, Oregon\, and the Southeast. Finishing up the year with two stellar highlights\, their own Snuggleween and the Rumpke Mountain Boys New Years Eve Ball in their hometown of Cincinnati. \nThe guys released a live album “In Good Company” in November 2018. Don’t miss this chance to share some holiday cheer and help us continue to be a community’s gathering place for all! \nNicholas Novaczyk\, The President of our historic theater is an original instrumental pianist\, and has spent 30 years writing original 88 keys of music. The basic grand piano at center stage reaches back to a simpler time in music and where the pin drop acoustics at The Bend will be on full display. \nTim Schmidt for the 2nd year in a row will grace The Bend Theater’s historic stage. Tim’s community and professional success leave us little room to introduce him. Known across the country for his entrepreneurial skills and gracious humble community building efforts\, he will bring his authentic soulful guitar/vocal presentations for all of us to enjoy. \nDave Burkart comes from music\, born with a guitar and a microphone waiting for him. Dave will bring his Minneapolis acoustic rock\, some holiday classics\, and a show that is real\, connected\, and nothing short of a must see. We last saw Dave at The Bend supporting Kat Perkins.
