When not headlining his own shows\, you can find Jim opening for some of the biggest names in comedy\, recently opening for names like Brad Garrett and Sebastian Maniscalco. \nJim has made TV appearances on ABC\, WGN\, NBC Sports\, the IFC network and more.  Flannigan has been a featured performer at many of the top comedy festivals in the US\, including the Boston Comedy Festival\, Gilda’s LaughFest and The Great American Comedy Festival\, honoring the late Johnny Carson. He is cohost of the hilarious All Over The Place with Pat McGann\, & What Do We Know? w/Hari and Jim\, both available everywhere you find podcasts. The Midwest based 4-piece masterfully blends soul-pleasing songwriting rich in imagery and storytelling with a genre bending\, shake-your-hips\, instrumental flair. Their high energy performances are driven by the unique and progressive approach of each player: imaginative melodies with graceful ambiance skillfully crafted on the violin\, tireless beats both dynamic and soulful confidently assembled on the drums\, driving low end with finesse and intention forged on the bass guitar\, and unique approach to playing the acoustic guitar blending fast picking bluegrass runs with the strength of blues and rock to evoke an emotional contrast between melancholy and hopeful. \n  \nThe band started in July of 2015 and has been relentlessly playing festivals\, theaters\, and clubs alongside regional and national touring acts. \n  \n“Ding Dang” the band’s third full length album released September 2021\, out now. \n

DESCRIPTION:A curated collection of comedians from The Good Land.  The Bend is thrilled to host a standup comedy showcase event featuring six of Milwaukee’s most talented standup comedians.  Consider this craft brewed small batch comedy\, served fresh.  This lineup is STACKED.  \nFeaturing: Dana Ehrmann\, Gary Zajackowski\, AJ Grill\, Ton Johnson\, Darrell Cochran\, and David Louis \nDana Ehrmann first tried stand-up as a college student\, and has been self-deprecating and discussing sort-of-but-not-quite-adulthood on stage ever since. Based in Milwaukee\, she’s been selected for the Milwaukee\, Floodwater and Great Spirit Comedy Festivals\, and opened for Todd Barry\, Jackie Kashian\, Dan Soder and Charlie Berens. She’s also sorry she hasn’t watched that t.v. show you recommended\, but she just has\, like\, a lot going on right now. \n  \nGary is a cool guy. He hit home runs from both sides of the plate in a game of wiffle ball a couple years ago. He’s been doing stand-up in and out of Milwaukee for the last decade and has been on stages at every gas station\, residence\, warehouse\, farmhouse\, henhouse\, outhouse and doghouse in that area. As well as some clubs. Comedy clubs\, supper clubs\, and other venues of all kinds. He’s got a dark but silly sense of humor and draws from his observations of world events and life experiences. And he didn’t kill his wife. \n  \nAJ Grill is a comedian based out of Milwaukee\, Wisconsin. An Iowa native\, he won the 2016 Penguins Comedy Club’s “Funniest Person in Iowa” competition. Since then\, he has performed all over the country in clubs\, colleges\, and DIY venues and is a regular at the Milwaukee Improv. AJ has been selected to perform in numerous comedy festivals throughout the country; including the Memphis\, Cape Fear\, Altercation\, and Flyover comedy festivals to name a few. In addition he has opened for Colin Quinn\, Sean Patton\, Eddie Pepitone and many more. Come see why Milwaukee Magazine called him one of “5 comedians you need to know about.” \n  \nDarrell Cochran has been told most of his life by family and friends that he should be a comedian\, Darrell finally took the leap and signed his name last-minute at the first open mic he ever attended. Now the 29-year-old Milwaukee native entertains crowds with his dating woes and his perspective of the world as a mixed single guy. Darrell can be found making appearances at comedy events all around Milwaukee and the Midwest. \n  \nDavid Louis loves wiffleball and has serious opinions about mustard. He has been described as the\, “lasagna of comedy\,” because he has lots of layers\, and is better the next day.  He currently eats carnival food year-round in Milwaukee\, fueling his high-paced witty descriptions that will have the whole audience reaching for their tums.  Dive bars\, a comedy club attached to a strip club\, casinos with chain-smoking retirees\, he’s performed at all of them. \n  \nTon Johnson uses his comedy as a coping mechanism for the absurdity of everyday life\, with energetic storytelling and delivery that makes his material relatable to a wide range of audiences. Based in Milwaukee\, Ton is quickly making a name for himself throughout the Midwest after winning comedy competitions\, participating in festivals\, and opening for touring headliners such as Damon Wayans Jr.\, Tim Dillon\, Charlie Berens\, and many more! \nGet in on the ground floor and see these Milwaukee comics at our beautiful venue before they hit the next level.
