SUMMARY:Dan Rodriguez - The All I Want for Christmas is Whiskey Tour 2023
DESCRIPTION:Dan Rodriguez’s “The All I Want for Christmas is Whiskey” 2023 Tour is coming to The Bend Theater!\n  \nA message from Dan: \nHi\, I’m Dan. I’m a whiskey & beer drinking\, fishing & hunting loving\, motorcycle riding\, quality food eating\, hippie sympathizing\, hobby farm running\, people loving\, husband & father who lives in Minneapolis and shares a life with my amazing wife and two adorable sons named Oak and Alder. \nI grew up in the suburbs of Detroit\, MI\, and moved to Minneapolis when I was 18 to study music\, and I stayed because I’m one of those crazy people that enjoys the snow and cold weather. \nSongwriting\, and performing those songs for people\, is both my trade and my passion. When I’m not in my studio writing and cutting records\, or on the road playing shows\, I’m usually playing in the woods with our boys\, tending to our backyard chickens\, eating fresh veggies from my wife’s huge garden\, making syrup from our maple grove\, or doing one of my many outdoor hobbies. \nNow here are a few things about my music career that I should probably share in a music bio: \n• In September 2014 Budweiser released their “Friends Are Waiting” commercial campaign featuring me singing my song When You Come Home and it premiered during both The World Series & The Super Bowl. \n• In February\, 2018\, I released my album 25 Years and the title track is now inching toward 1 million listens. \n• In October\, 2018\, Miller Lite featured my newest single “So Good” in one of their commercials that played for months during NFL games on ESPN & more. \n• In March\, 2019\, my song “You Feel Like Home” was featured in Explore Minnesota Tourism’s newest ad campaign. \n• In 2022 I released my album Troubadour Family Man. It’s my debut self-produced record and I couldn’t be more proud of it. \n• Over the years I’ve had the honor of sharing the stage with some really cool artists & bandsincluding The Civil Wars\, Andy Grammer\, Eric Hutchinson\, Matt Nathanson\, NeedtoBreathe\, \nAugustana\, Tyrone Wells\, O.A.R.\, Haley Reinhart\, Jon McLaughlin\, Will Hoge\, Drew Holcomb\, Sister Hazel\, and more. \n  \nDoors open at 6:30 PM to give you time to find your seats\, visit our historic lobby\, concession stand and fully stocked bar! \nShow begins at approximately 7:30 PM

SUMMARY:Chicken Wire Empire
DESCRIPTION:Chicken Wire Empire returns to The Bend Theater for another highly-anticipated performance\, promising an evening of foot-stomping music and infectious energy.\nBorn in Wisconsin\, Chicken Wire Empire began as a traditional bluegrass band. The band honed its traditional sound in 2014 with their debut album Chicken Wire Empire. Half the group embraced bluegrass\, half favored jamband music. A shift happened during a tribute show. Sam Donoghue recorded it\, following the band in Wisconsin. They played at Milwaukee’s Riverside Theatre. In 2018\, they returned to the studio. They recorded “What Moves Mountains” at Axis Studios with Vinny Millevolte and Justin Perkins mastering. \nIn November of 2019\, Chicken Wire Empire toured Germany\, Austria\, and Switzerland as part of the 9th annual Bluegrass Jamboree\, hosted by Rainier Zellner. While the band fell in love with Christmas markets\, the European audiences were enamored with the CWE sound. Arriving back in America\, the band sifted through recordings of all 24 shows. \nThe band used their time to arrange and record an album with Minnesota songsmith Chris Castino (The Big Wu) at NeonBrown with Ryan Young (Trampled by Turtles) engineering. The album features guests Peter Rowan\, Sam Bush\, Jerry Douglas\, Andy Hall\, Tim O’Brien\, and Nick Forester. Entitled “Fresh Pickles\,” it was released in February 2022. \nChicken Wire Empire played alongside Yonder Mountain\, 30db\, The Big Wu\, Peter Rowan\, and more. Supported by locals\, they aim to boost Wisconsin’s bluegrass and acoustic music appreciation. \nDoors open at 6:30 PM to give you time to find your seats\, visit our historic lobby\, concession stand and fully stocked bar! \nShow begins at approximately 7:30 PM

SUMMARY:Them Coulee Boys Live at The Bend Theater
DESCRIPTION:Back by Popular Demand: The Bend welcomes Them Coulee Boys back to our historic stage!\nThem Coulee Boys craft a brand of Americana that blends folk\, punk\, bluegrass\, and rock & roll. They sing their conversational songs in 4 part harmony\, often with a banjo stomp and rhythm section punch that drives the audience onto the dance floor and into community. Their trusty van has propelled them thousands of miles across the country and into the hearts of strangers\, who tend to leave each show as family. \nThe story is true. Soren Staff and Beau Janke met as counselors at a bible camp in northern Wisconsin in 2011. Having both grown up amidst a stretch of glacial melt-carved river valleys in the upper Midwest (called coulees by French fur trappers)\, they were fast friends. At camp\, another counselor took to teasing them saying “them coulee boys are at it again.” The name stuck. Spending their weeks playing songs with kids around a campfire led to weekends figuring out an Avett Brothers tune or classic country song.  In 2013\, they added Soren’s brother Jens on mandolin\, and a rough-around-the-edges\, stomping 3-piece folk band played their first show as Them Coulee Boys. The live band straddles the line between pure and genuine ballads and a sweaty\, leaping take on countrified rock-n-roll. \n“from pure and genuine ballads to a leaping\, countrified take on rock and roll” \nFor all things Them Coulee Boys\, please visit themcouleeboys.com. \nDoors open at 6:30 PM to give you time to find your seats\, visit our historic lobby\, concession stand and fully stocked bar! SUMMARY:Comedy Nights at The Bend: Byron Kennedy
DESCRIPTION:Comedy Nights at The Bend featuring Byron Kennedy\nByron Kennedy’s irreverent\, observational style and natural storytelling panache connects with audiences across the nation\, moving him quickly from open mic nights to featuring\, to the Grand ole Opry\, a Las Vegas residency and now headlining gigs across the country. \nDeclared the “Leonardo DaVinci Of Radio” by broadcast legend Howard Stern\, Kennedy built an impressive résumé at a CBS Radio and\, later\, a top Nashville record label. The next morning\, I was certain this was all I wanted to do.” “I can’t explain it\, but when you land that first laugh\, there’s no turning back.” – Byron Kennedy \nDoors open at 6:30 PM to give you time to find your seats\, visit our historic lobby\, concession stand and fully stocked bar!
