Joe 2.0 — the electrified string quartet (two violins\, viola\, cello) plus drums that’s spent over a decade proving a string section can rock as hard as any guitar — brings its one-of-a-kind sound to The Bend for a holiday night unlike anything else on the calendar this December. \nFronting the band: Xeno\, original lead singer of Cheap Trick\, whose voice has powered Joe 2.0’s genre-blurring take on everything from Led Zeppelin to the Black Keys since the group’s founding by Milwaukee violinist Joseph Ketchum in 2011. \nThis year\, they’re not doing it alone. Christmas Magic welcomes two of Milwaukee’s most beloved musicians to the stage: Robin Pluer\, a multi-time WAMI Award winner and Shepherd Express “Best Female Vocalist\,” known citywide for the sultry French chansons she’s brought to Bastille Days for over 25 years — and Chris Hanson\, the bandleader and composer behind Milwaukee’s go-to jazz\, swing\, and rockabilly outfit.
