His breakout came fast: in 2012 he was tapped as one of Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch at the New York Comedy Festival and made a splash as a new face at Montreal’s Just for Laughs. \nThat momentum carried him to NBC\, where he spent Season 39 of Saturday Night Live as both a writer and a cast member. Since then he’s done stand-up on Late Night with Seth Meyers and CONAN\, taped a half-hour for Comedy Central\, and turned up on HBO’s Girls. His debut album\, This Is Cool\, Right?\, reached No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart\, and his latest hour\, Alive in Alaska\, arrived in 2024. \nOnstage he’s loose\, honest and happy to be the butt of the joke. Friday\, November 6 he brings that act to a 1929 vaudeville house in downtown West Bend\, and the room is small enough that you won’t miss a single face he makes. \n\n\nCareer Highlights \nThe résumé\, in brief\nA few stops on the way to The Bend. \n\nSaturday Night LiveWriter and cast member for Season 39 on NBC.2013–2014\nThis Is Cool\, Right?Debut album; hit No. 1 on iTunes and made Paste’s 10 Best Comedy Albums of the year.2015\nComedy Central: The Half HourHis own half-hour stand-up special.2015\nLate Night & CONANStand-up sets on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and TBS’s CONAN.Late-night TV\nAlive in AlaskaHis most recent stand-up special and album.2024\nLive at The BendOne night in West Bend\, with an opening comic.Nov 6\, 2026\n\nMore at brookswheelan.com. \n\n\nTickets & Seating \nThree ways in\nReserved seating across three price levels in a 360-seat historic theater. \n\n$45Premium Seating16 seats\n$35Main Seating279 seats\n$25Value Seating65 seats\n\nTotal capacity 360. SUMMARY:Edwin McCain Trio
DESCRIPTION:Live at The Bend · West Bend\, Wisconsin \nEdwin McCain Trio \nAcoustic Trio — Live \n\nAcoustic Trio\n90-Minute Set\n#5 Billboard Hit “I’ll Be”\nNew Album “Lucky” Out Now\n\nThe voice behind two of the most-played love songs of the ’90s trades the full band for an intimate acoustic trio — one night\, one stage\, the hits stripped down to where they started. \n\n\n\nOne Night Only \nSaturday \nNovember 7\, 2026 \n6:30 PMDoors\n7:30 PMShow\nGet Tickets\n\n\n\n\n“a great American romantic” \nThe New York Times\n\n\nHear It First \nThe songs you already know the words to\nTwo of the most-licensed love songs of the last thirty years — and the reason this room will be singing along. \nEdwin McCain – “I’ll Be” (Official Music Video) \nThe 1998 breakout single — peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. \n\nEdwin McCain – “I Could Not Ask For More” (Official Music Video) \nThe 1999 follow-up\, from the Message in a Bottle soundtrack — a Top 40 hit and a wedding-day staple ever since. \n\n\n\nThe Short Version \nThirty years of hits\, one very small room\nEdwin McCain broke out in the mid-’90s with Honor Among Thieves\, then went Top 40 twice over with “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask For More” — two songs that have soundtracked more first dances and slow dances than almost anything else from the era. He’s since shared stages with Hootie & the Blowfish\, Collective Soul\, and Train\, and turned up in an unlikely spot in 2025: disguised as Nessy the Loch Ness Monster on The Masked Singer\, where he made it all the way to the Final Five. \nAfter fifteen years away from the studio\, McCain returned in 2025 with Lucky\, a ten-song album he co-produced with Lee Brice and Jerrod Niemann that moves easily between blues\, soul\, rock\, and folk — from the driving opener “Chasing a Memory” to the ache of “Love Me or Leave Me Alone.” West Bend gets the stripped-back version: McCain and his trio\, acoustic\, with nowhere for a great song to hide. \nCalled a “great American romantic” by The New York Times\, McCain has also picked up a newer audience through TikTok\, where his dry\, self-deprecating videos with his daughter have gone properly viral. On November 7\, all of it — the hits\, the new record\, the humor — comes to The Bend stage for one night only. \n\n\nThe Hit List \nCareer highlights\nThree decades of radio hits\, big stages\, and a few surprises along the way. \n\n“I’ll Be”Peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 1001998\n“I Could Not Ask For More”Top 40 hit; featured on the Message in a Bottle soundtrack1999\nNational touringShared stages with Hootie & the Blowfish\, Collective Soul\, and TrainOngoing\nThe Masked SingerPerformed as Nessy the Loch Ness Monster\, reached the Final Five2025\nLuckyFirst full studio album in 15 years\, co-produced with Lee Brice & Jerrod Niemann2025\nLive at The Bend TheaterAcoustic Trio\, one night onlyNov 7\, 2026\n\nMore at edwin.com. \n\n\nTickets & Seating \nFour ways in\nReserved seating throughout — every seat has a clear view of the stage. \n\nSold Out$85Table Seating16 seats\n$75Premium Reserved28 seatsLimited Availability\n$55Reserved274 seats\n$39Value Reserved42 seats\n\nTotal capacity 360. He picked up a guitar at nine and mostly taught himself\, and his first gigs were anywhere that would have him — taco shops and any bar with a patio that would give him a couple of hours. \nThen he learned the business from the inside\, working as tour manager for Texas artist Dalton Domino before opening the shows himself. His 2016 EP Higher Ground and 2017 debut album Green put him on the map alongside Texas country names like Koe Wetzel and Flatland Cavalry\, and he has since shared stages with Whiskey Myers and Charlie Robison and recorded a live album at the world-famous Billy Bob’s Texas. \nThe sound keeps one boot in the red dirt and the other on a fuzz pedal: classic country storytelling with late-’90s rock crunch\, songs about hard work\, heartbreak\, and hanging on. More than 400 shows in\, he’s also one of the most fan-friendly artists in Texas music — the kind of performer who sticks around after the show to shake hands. \n\n\nThe Hit List \nWhat he’s bringing to West Bend\nMile markers from a decade of plugging away. \n\nHigher Ground EPThe debut that got critics and fans talking2016\nGreenDebut album — home of fan favorites “Green\,” “Ledges\,” and “Million Miles”2017\nOvergrown & CirclesTwo more albums\, recorded with his road band2020–22\nLive at Billy Bob’s TexasA live album from the world’s largest honky tonk2023\n“Oxygen” & “Smoke”The new singles pointing at what’s next2026\nThe Bend Theater\, West BendDay 2 of the Original Country Gold Rowdy WeekendNov 13\n\nWant to sing along?
